Interesting facts about me

Hello
My name is Eva, I'm 32 years old, married with a child, a boy named Bart and he is 5 years old.
I live in the Netherlands and have a part-time job in a drugstore.
When we got cable tv as a child I saw the Monkees for the first time and I was hooked as a 8year old. I learned speaking english because of the show. and Davy Jones became my first love, hihihi.
As I grow older I forgot all about them, as my music interest chanched, but a few months ago I re descoverd the monkees all over again. The funny thing is, those first feelings of joy and fun and excitemend never left me because I feel it all again.
I had some catching up to do about the monkees, so I surfed the net for every detail about them, and what they've been up to. Bought some books on the net and updated my Ipod with my favorite monkeesongs.
When I landed on the Monkeeland board, I was happely surprised about all the info and all these people who felt the same way that I do. There is not a big folowing of monkeefans in my country. The monkees had a show in The Netherlands in 1989, but my dad thought at the time I was to young to go, and my mother had just past away, so I never got the chance to see them, and since I live here and not in the USA I probebly never will. So I enjoy all the storys of people gathering up with eachother for shows and stuff.
I'm not a computernerd, so I may have some trouble doing stuff as linking things and so on, and since I speak dutch, I will have some typing errors here and there, but I will try and do my best.

Thanks,
Love, Eva

    Hi Eva,
thanks and big greetings to you in the Netherlands! (I am from the city Leer near the border, we often drive to Groningen).
In 1989 I already was a big Monkees fan, too. If I would have known then that the Monkees were in your country would have loved to go there, too! Somewhere there must be a recording of that concert as I have heard on YouTube 2 or 3 audio files from this concert.
Unfortunately I've never been to America until now. I friend of mine was in New York a month ago and bought several original old vinyl LPs for a dollar each in a second hand record store, also Monkees Colgems records (my dream to find original Colgems ones that cheap!!).
    Lots of greetings!
